Welcome to Nuncio--billed as "the kissing dwarf lop!" According to his fosterer from HRS Chicago, Nuncio has quite affinity for sniffing mouths. Lois, HRS Chicago director, figured this needy (albeit neutered) guy would pair well with our spayed Jordan. Lois hoped that he'd react with "Oh...Big Mama!" to the first sight of our 6.5 lb Queen of the house. Though they ignored each other at first, within an hour, Jordan made it clear that Nuncio was her new boy toy. The jury was out at first, but within another hour, Nuncio decided that he was okay with that role!

Above, you see the pair early in their first date--set up in the neutral unclaimed territory of the downstairs bathroom of our new residence. Here, Jordan--the long-time lover of headpets--has just pushed her head underneath Nuncio to solicit a head petting. Why not, after all...it works when she does it to her humans. Unfortunately, the first night was quite frustrating for the ol' girl since Nuncio just didn't seem to get the idea! Jordan (as a master of subtlety) gently emphasized her request by mounting him several times from several directions--much to the dismay of the little guy. He endured it in shock at first, but within an hour, he was quietly submiting to the big girl's undulating advances with his signature "Yeah, the ladies can't get enough of me" look...Even when he had Jordan's pelvis whapping him in the head.

Here, Nuncio munches on some hay while Jordan cleans herself for the big night. He was fairly non-plussed by Jordan and tried to ignore her (well, when she wasn't mounting him). The good news, however was that they didn't fight at all--which by most counts is a "love at first sight" bonding success. It took one more day for Jordan to stop chasing him when they were in her cage area, but after that, they've been inseparable.

Nuncio and Jordan have been best buddies ever since...here's Nuncio in a common posture grooming his queen.
